We’ve successfully worked with hundreds of grant programs across federal and state levels, including the following:

  • The Value-Added Producer Grant program provides funding to agricultural producers to undertake value-added activities to create new products, access new marketing opportunities, expand marketing and increase producer income.

    Eligible Applicants

    • Agricultural producers (includes harvesters and steering committees)

    • Agricultural producer groups

    • Farmer- or rancher-cooperatives

    • Majority-controlled producer-based business ventures.

    Funding Amount

    Planning Grants $75,000; Working Capital Grants: $250,000

  • The Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) provides loans and grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses for procuring renewable energy systems or to make energy efficiency improvements. Agricultural producers may also apply for loans for new energy efficient equipment and new systems for agricultural production and process.

    Eligible Applicants

    • Rural small businesses

    • Agricultural producers

    Funding Amount

    $1 million maximum for renewable energy system and $500,000 for energy efficiency projects.

  • The Sustainable Agriculture Food Program provides funding to agri-food businesses to modernize and adopt new food equipment, technologies and standards.

    Eligible Applicants

    • Primary Producers

    • Processors

    Funding Amount

    $75,000 per project.

  • The Dairy Processing Modernization Initiative provides funding procure equipment for increasing processing efficiencies and improve food safety.

    Eligible Applicants

    • Dairy Processors

    Funding Amount

    $200,000

  • The Meat Processors Capacity Improvement Initiative provides funding to meat plants and abattoirs for making investments in processing equipment, technologies and practices that improve operational efficiency and productivity.

    Eligible Applicants

    • Meat processors

    Funding Amount

    $150,000

  • The Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure Program provides funding to expand capacity for the aggregation, processing, manufacturing, storing, transporting and distribution of food products.

    Eligible Applicants

    • Agricultural producers or processors or groups of producers/processors

    Funding Amount

    $100,000 for equipment only projects and $3 million for infrastructure projects.

  • The program provides funding to promote dairy product development, create value-added dairy products, and enhance the value of a dairy commodities.

    Eligible Applicants

    • Dairy processors or farms located in Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.

    Funding Amount

    $150,000
